U.S. National FootGolf Team

The American FootGolf Federation would like to welcome the new captain of the U.S. National FootGolf Team, Team USA!

Nick Wallace from Sacramento California represented the United States in South America with Team USA, at the FIFG FootGolf World Cup Argentina 2016. That team was formed by member players of the American FootGolf League - the Major League of FootGolf founded in 2011 - and became the first World Champions in the history of our young sport. Nick was invited to the two editions of the Jansen Cup but he was not able to attend. In 2018, Nick traveled with Team USA to Northern Africa, this time to defend the American FootGolf Federation colors on the fairways of Morocco, where Team USA brought the bronze medal home.

The Board of Directors of the AFGF invited him to join in a project for the next two years and he has accepted to volunteer as the Captain of our national team. Nick will have the responsibility of taking us to glory in just a few months, when Team USA will kick-off the newest FIFG competition, the World Champions Cup, at Reunion Resort & Golf in Kissimmee, Florida. He will lead the team to the FIFG FootGolf World Cup Japan 2021 in the fall and also in the lll Edition of the Jansen Cup being played on American soil in May 2022.

This FootGolf veteran has also been a member of West Coast FootGolf Club for four of their five U.S. National Championship titles. Nick has been in the golf industry for eighteen years and has played soccer and/or coached soccer most of his life. With his unique background in both golf and soccer, Nick is an excellent choice for captain of Team USA. "Thank you for the honor of being named captain of Team USA! I hope to bring Team USA back to its former glory" stated Nick Wallace.

The Vice-Captain during 2021 will be another experienced FootGolf player who is a World Cup and Jansen Cup veteran; Sean McNamara from Morris Plains, New Jersey. Two Team Managers who are very well known American footgolfers will join the captains; Sep Dadsetan from Los Angeles, California who coached Team USA for the World Cup 2018 in Marrakech, and Alex Rassmussen from Memphis, Tennessee, who managed Team USA for the second edition of the Jansen Cup at Celtic Manor Resort, United Kingdom in 2019.

More information about Team USA, The First Edition of the World Champions Cup and the upcoming World Cup will be published on the blog of the American FootGolf Federation after the next FIFG General Assembly at the end of January.

Go Team USA!
